Awesome weekend

Hello,
 Welcome to my blog. I had a wonderfully productive weekend, not only did I get some card making in , but, I spent the time with a great group of ladies. Once a month a group of us who share a love of paper crafting and using Cricuts get together. I also had the opportunity to spoil my granddaughter Sat. night. And I went out on a Date with my husband Friday night. Whew,,, I'm ready to get back to work, hahaha.  Anyhoo.. these are the cards I was able to complete Saturday.

Obsession

Yes , you could say I am slightly obsessed with these little girls. I have another one to add. I colored this one with copics ( did her skin and hair in pencils) She's my little Irish girl. I used Authentique 6x6 sheets ( they sell them individually) anBG 93,96,99 and N1,3,5 ( sorry Dolly , I thought it was W's)

I am going to also make a St. Paddy's day card with this image ( I have to color another one, tho'). I bought some really cute "green " paper yesterday for that purpose.
This is my new DT card for Dutch Dare and the Image can be found onSaturated Canary.
I am also using it to try out for a DT spot on her blog (saturated canary)

I'm Baaaack,

I have the day off , and I should be redoing my cabinets ( I read the instructions and thought better of it) , but I'll wait till I get some assistance from my DH.
So , with that said , I threw a load of laundry in the washer  ,filled the dishwasher, emptied trash and cleaned a bathroom,so now I can get down to coloring and making cards.. For now though, I am posting a card I recently taught at my card class ,every Monday night at Simply Scrapbooks ( shameless promo LOL ).

I used  AUTHENTIQUE paper , Hero Arts sentiment stamp , image is from STAMPING BELLA and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

new home new beginning

Welcome to 2012, I am trying my darndest to get to my blog more often. So far I'm not doing so well. But I will perservere and eventually this will become a habit (one can only hope ).
This week was a "new beginnings"  theme over at http://dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/ . using a digi from http://craftysentiments.blogspot.com/ . I thought the birdhouse digi was so cute and what better way to say congratulations on a new home than with a birdhouse. I used the ART PHILOSOPHY cricut cartridge to cut the card and ovals as well as the flowers and leaves. The fence was a die from TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS. I love, love ,love the ART PHILOSOPHY cart. it has such a variety of images to cjoose from, I find myself using it more than any other cart. Hop on over to dutchdare and have a go at this weeks'
